What? The environmental issues confronting our world today require immediate attention and effective action. If we understand the Biblical mandate for humanity to care for all creation, we know that the church is called to be leaders in working for the restoration and healing of our world. This webinar series will help us understand and live into our calling, discovering new ways to participate in this holy work.

When? Tuesdays at 6 - 7pm (cst), October 10th - November 12th 2023.

Where? Register through Zoom --> https://events.zoom.us/ev/AthqyU84Vm6Ejlkn8_RPvKPLRV-vGOGb0dHAq_uhJGhS22JfJzXG~AggLXsr32QYFjq8BlYLZ5I06Dg

Cost: $60 (Includes a copy of "Garbage Theology" book and 6 classes)

The course will cover the following topics:

1.    Christians and the Environment. Why should we care? Talking creation care with your congregation.

2.    Holiness Theology and Creation. What does sanctification have to do with this? Connecting theological dots, connecting our hearts and our hands.

3.    Climate Change and the Church. What is climate change and can we really know? Understanding your faith’s relationship with your footprint.

4.    Inequality and Creation Care. How does this affect my neighbor? Unpacking environmental racism and the role of the church.

5.    The Eating Church. How does what we consume change the world? Looking at the relationship between agriculture, food, and the Kingdom of God.

6.    On Earth as it is in Heaven. What can we really do? What should we do? A closing dialogue on the role of the local church and a groaning creation.

Webinars led by Rev. Caleb Cray Haynes, Director of Nazarenes for Creation Care and other special guest speakers.
