Nazarenes for Creation Care
What does it mean that holiness has much to say about our planet, the dirt under our feet and the food that we eat? What if to follow Jesus means that we live in holistic relationship with all the Earth? What if loving God involves loving, serving, and keeping God’s creation?
Nazarenes for Creation Care (#N4CC) is a grassroots group of Nazarene clergy, farmers, professors, theologians, scientists, students, and more who are organizing, dreaming, and envisioning a better tomorrow for the relationship between God's good creation and the body of the Church of the Nazarene.
Our Mission:
Nazarenes for Creation Care exists to promote infrastructural change toward implementing creation care locally, regionally, and globally in the Church of the Nazarene.
We do this through educating, equipping and mobilizing individuals and communities of the Church of the Nazarene to serve, keep, and participate in the reconciliation of God’s creation.
Objectives:
· To nurture an international community of earthkeeping Nazarenes through Creation Care gatherings and online platforms.
· To share compelling stories about what caring for creation looks like for the people of God.
· To highlight, enrich and contribute to the theological foundations for creation care in our Nazarene tradition.
· To encourage theological and spiritual formation surrounding creation care through sharing resources and teachings.
