Keep the Garden webinars

"Keep the Garden" - Spring Webinar Series!

Don't miss these three wonderful webinars on caring for creation coming this May 2022!

These Webinars are among the most practical pieces of training we have offered yet!
Join other Nazarenes in these rich life-long learning opportunities this May!
1 - Community Gardening and the Local Church - May 10th, 7:30PM EST
Have you ever wanted to start a community garden? How might the work of the local church find expression through the ministry of community gardening? What different models can this take on? What do you need to know before beginning? How might your congregation ease into the work of better stewarding your church-property or other land around you for the benefit of the community and the Earth? Come hear from and chat with Nazarenes engaging in this work!

2 - The Sacred Work of Conservation - May 17th, 7:30PM EST
Conservation is some of the most important work we can be doing as the people of God caring for the world. Jonathan Emerson Twining shares how to engage in conservation in your context and about the important conservation work happening in Kenya with the Upendo Conservation Area! Jonathan Twining is an Assistant Professor in the Life Sciences Program at ENC, teaches ecology and environmental science and works toward conservation locally and abroad.

3 - Solving Climate Change with Food - May 24th, 1:00pm EST
Frank Holleman, a Nazarene in the Netherlands, shares about his work on climate justice and food. Frank is the co-founder of Fork Ranger, a start-up to turn research about climate change and food into practical tips and recipes. He also wrote the book ’Solving climate change with food’ and gave a TEDx talk about how to make sustainable choices at the supermarket. The choices we make around our food have a global impact as "eating is like voting three times a day in what kind of world you want to live."
